Sitting in the van

I'm not too sure if I can pictures to this blog? I assume I can, but haven't quite figured out how! Anyway, when and if I can I'll post some pictures of my now mobile recording studio!

If you're a listener to British Mac you probably know that I'm currently living in an old Campervan in a field in Devon. With no access to broadband and limited equipment (amoung other things) I've struggled to keep British Mac going. However things are changing!

I've ordered a USB modem from T-Mobile that tell me that I can achieve broadband like speeds, so that's great! Also I've installed my mixing desk, mic's, firewire breakout box, piano etc in my van! As Mr. Jobs would say 'awesome' in that way he has, or I would say 'jolly good'!

Either way it's good news. I've changed how I record British Mac and have moved from Logic Pro to Soundtrack Pro, which I find a great application and includes support for podcast chapter markers, so BM062 should sound better/different than normal. Should I record it surround sound - that's the question!!

BM062 out 21st Feb 08.

Cheers,

Will.

British Mac rules the Waves again!

Dear All,

Just a quick note to say that British Mac as from this week on is back to regular production. Show 62 will be out w/c 18th Feb with a news flash this week to confirm plans and 62 content.

2008 is going to be a big year for British Mac! There's going to be a 'movie special' filmed in a pub, a British Mac software adventure game 'The Curse of Leopard Island', new t-shirts for 2008, and of course the British Mac Annual!

Cheers,

Will.
